A spirit of water from before Arda, Daedhel was one of the few of her kind who felt naturally drawn to Melkor during the Music. Although she lost much of her power with her Master's fall, she retained the ability to be as fluid and changeable as the sea: she can shift her shape to closely mimic any living thing. Although, as powers go, it may not quite as impressive as the fire of the Balrogs, her Master saw use in her talent and put her to work as an undercover operative. Daedhel spent the early years of the First Age moving in secret among Elven and Mortal populations, spreading dissent and fear.
When Húrin betrayed the general location of the Hidden City with his shouts to the Echoriath, Daedhel was entrusted with finding it and discovering a way it could be taken by assault. Getting into Gondolin was not difficult, but gathering the necessary information has proved tricky. She has spent the past few months researching, as well as indulging in the occasional assassination attempts against influential persons in the city.
Daedhel had a brief liasion with Tevildo, Prince of Cats (a demon very similar to her in temperament and power, and probably the only one of her many conquests who she respected). They have a son, TJ.
